Batchelor is a special place to live — close to nature, rich in culture, and full of community spirit. As interest in visiting our region grows, we want to make sure tourism develops in a way that supports locals, protects what we value, and creates positive opportunities for the town.

This survey is for people who live in the Coomalie region. Your ideas, concerns, and local knowledge will help guide how Batchelor is promoted, what experiences are developed, and how visitor impacts are managed.

2026 Dog Registrations Due

August 18, 2026

The 2026-27 Dog Registrations are now due for the period 1st September 2026 - 31 August 2027. For this financial year Council are offering a 50% discount* for desexed dogs upon presentation of the desexing certificate. As usual, a 50% discount* can also apply for concession card holders, this must also be presented at time of payment. * Note only 1 discount can be applied per animal You can pay your registration in person, over the phone or from Council's website here ! When making payment via the website please quote the 'Animal No' from your notice as the reference.
